Since 2012, YGOPRO The Dawn of a New Era has existed as a free to play alternative to the real world card collecting game. The simple client gives players complete access to every card released and the opportunity to build decks, battle other players and join in community events like tournaments. As the game is built and maintained by fans of the card game, YGOPRO The Dawn of a New Era features an extremely welcoming and friendly community. Global chat is often active and engaged, giving advice freely. A slight negative which could be said about the game is the interface is fairly basic and amateur looking. It is clear that function has been chosen over form, but it still looks like a relic from the internet of years gone by. Despite this, the game is completely playable in its current state and a great resource for Yu-Gi-Oh! players to try decks with cards from throughout the long history of the card game.
